Are accidents happening more in winter or summer?
When you see the news, somehow you are suggested that
accidents most happen under winter conditions. Especially
when it is slippery, because of snow or ice.
But that is not at all the case.
The most dangerous season in traffic is the beautiful sunny
wheather in spring and summer, because more people are
outdoor and participating in road traffic, with and without
vehicles.
They are in elated mood and happy. Therefore, people are more
unconcentrated in traffic and taking more risks.
In winter is it different. The wheather is unstable and so the
people are more careful than usual. Especially when we have
snow or ice we drive more attentive or sometimes we even leave
the vehicles at home to take the public transport.
Even the number of pedestrians and two-wheelers are
decreasing. This explains the less number of accidents, too.
