It is a very exciting moment for every examinee,
when the driving examiner asks: “Do you feel ready for the test”?
So that you can answer this question with “yes”, we have some tips
for you here:
1. Make sure you have paid the practice exam fee.
2. Take your passport, ID or other form of identification with you.
Otherwise the exam cannot take place.
3. Do you need visual aids? Take them along with you! If the
visual aid is written in the test order, the examination may
only take place with visual aid.
4. Try to get a good night’s sleep the night before.
Meditation also helps a lot.
5. Be self-confident and trust your driving instructor,
who would not have registered you for the test if he was not convinced of you.
The test consists of 3 parts:
a) Departure control: The examiner asks questions relating to vehicle
operation and the driving instructor should go through them with you again.
b) Basic driving exercises: You will certainly have to perform parallel parking
or box parking (or both), turning around and emergency braking in the practical test.
Repeat all the exercises again before the exam.
c) City traffic: Your driving instructor has taught you the skills to drive in an
energy-saving manner in road traffic in a spirit of partnership. You should be
able to adapt to traffic and recognize dangers and avert them. Proper entry and
exit on the autobahn is also expected.
The examiner will tell you the directions to go.
