Motor vehicle inspection

Motor vehicles should be brought to the workshop for

inspection at regular intervals; the manufacturer determines

which kilometer intervals this should take place

given. Some manufacturers specify rigid kilometers or time intervals.

Alternatively, there are flexible intervals at which a

sensor system collects data. The flexible intervals result depending

on the load.

Why for inspection?

Guarantee reasons:

1.In order to assert the guarantee claims, these should be adhered to.

With most manufacturers, is this a condition for the guarantee.

2. Safety:
So that the vehicle is always reliable and safe on the road.

3. Value retention

Parts that are worn out are replaced, operating materials are

refilled or replaced, and the brakes and electronics are checked.

What is being checked?

The small inspection usually includes changing the engine

oil and checking the air filter, or replacing it, if necessary.

Check of the cooling water (antifreeze sufficient?)

Topping up the windshield washer fluid. Review of the

Brake fluid level and the vehicle electrics.

The major inspection is much more extensive. The exact scope
can be found in the service booklet, as they differ slightly depending on the manufacturer. At least

the engine, exhaust system, transmission and steering gear should
be checked. The final drive and front axle, body, electrics, equipment, brakes, wheels and tires are also checked.
