How do you pass a bus?

Busdrivers have to stick to strict schedules and it’s not easy

for them to join into the flowing traffic.

Therefore we need to watch them, not just for letting them

enter  the road, but also for the safety of the passengers.

Watch the bus which lights are on?

Whenever you see a bus at a busstop, you must check the

signals of it, whether the signal is on (to the right) or it is

not on, or even the hazard lights are on.

What is the difference?

With the signal to the right or even no lights on the bus, you can

pass carefully(moderate speed).(Applies to the oncoming

traffic, too).

If the hazard lights are on, you are only allowed to pass by

with walking speed (4-7 km/h).You must stop, if necessary.

(Applies to the oncoming traffic, too)

What, if the bus is indicating to the left?

If the bus flashes to the left, you must let it

move in front of you!

Please remember, that you are not allowed to overtake a

bus, when the bus is moving with hazard lights on.

You must wait, until it comes to a stop to get him overtake

and then only at walking speed.( see above )

Trams!

Trams are overtaken on the right (except in one-way roads or when
the rails are on the most right of the road.
Stops the tram, you can only pass at walking speed, but only if
you are not endangering or obstructing the passengers.
